SEFARDIC Laka Vam Crna Zemlja RIP=Gordana Kuić : KNjIŽEVNICA “Miris kiše na Balkanu”, “Cvat lipe na Balkanu”, “Smiraj dana na Balkanu” Završila je engleski jezik i književnost na Filološkom fakultetu Beogradskog univerziteta i Hanter koledžu u Njujorku.Owing to ideological reasons, the research of the cultural past of the Balkans tendsto neglect the existence of shared identities, practices, and symbols. The question ofthe respective contributions of Balkan Christians, Jews, and Muslims to this sharedBalkan-Ottoman culture, the ways in which their particular ethnic cultures were inuenced by it, as well as the question of mutual inuences of any of the ethno- religious cultures over the others, are usually not at the focus of the research. In thisrespect, both our conference and this issue are of a pioneer nature, as they focus onthe shared culture and the ways in which the particular identities were strengthenedand threatened by it, or by each other, rather than focusing on any of these respectivecultures per se....
